Face frames are more traditional-looking but less space-efficient, frameless are more modern-looking and allow each drawer to be a bit taller but doors use a more complicated hinge. It is really a question of style I think.

What style is your house? I live in a 1914 Craftsman, so chose inset/ face frames, because I wanted the cabinet style to be harmonious with the style of my home.

Full overlay doors can also look traditional on frameless cabinets.

IKEA boxes are frameless. Best function is all drawer base cabs except the sink base. Vedhamn is light European Oak. You can easily find engineered hardwood flooring to blend.
