Why not? Wood cabinets go with many colors. You could post a picture of your house, your cabinets, and their color, and your floors, and the sage green color you either have or want to have.

You see all types of greens and browns next to each other in nature!

You have described my kitchen, so I say, great idea!

What to Watch Out For:

Too much darkness: If both the cabinets and walls are deep in tone, the kitchen may feel heavy unless balanced with lighting and lighter surfaces.

Add open wood shelving in the same stain to echo the cabinet tone.

Use sage green in backsplash tiles or textiles (e.g. curtains, rugs) instead of full walls for flexibility.

You didn't post a picture of your kitchen so we don't know the colour of your cabinets, nor of the floor, nor of the countertop, nor of the backsplash if you have one. Nor do we know how much lighting you have in the room. Therefore, difficult to say if it's a good colour for your kitchen or not.

We're totally renovating our kitchen.

I think I like the soft sage walls with a medium stained wood and quartz counter tops. Our floors are a lighter stained hardwood.

If it was my kitchen with what you describe, I would go with the sage green in accents (backsplash, accessories) but not for all the walls.

The question gets more complicated as you start to tackle it in reality:

Are you getting custom cabinets and can choose any color of stain. Or is there a line with specific stain colors to choose from?

Work to find cabinets that look good with them. Cabinets should last you decades and be the right match with your floors no matter what paint you choose.

Next pic a sage that goes with both the floors and cabinets. As you can see from the pics below, sage and wood can be beautiful or rather unattractive. It is about doing the color matching well.

Also consider your light sources and size kitchen and layout. Post a pic of your layout. Do you want your kitchen to feel spacious and airy? If so, then you need to consider whether the layout and colors are going to achieve that together. Or is it fine to look more cozy and smaller? Color plays a big part of this.

Lastly, what kind of quartz countertop were you looking at? Sometimes I don't love quartz and wood together. The natural and faux combo isn't always great. Othertimes it is fine.

The PAINT color is your last worry. The FIRST consideration is your layout.

Cabinet stain, counter top, the flooring, etc? All in harmony and selections made AFTER you consider all of:

Storage, Clearances, and ease of moving in the kitchen. How you cook and is everything where you like, or where it makes cooking easy and enjoyable. You consider venting, lighting both natural and artificial, and a lot more.

I've always loved darbuka's kitchen. Bev's photos are beautiful as well. So yes, in general, it is a very pretty combination. But the devil is in the details. So post your choices for better advice.

Sage green walls can be paired up quite nicely with warm wood tone cabinets especially those with reddish or orange tones. It's a classic combination.

Lovely color scheme -- just don't go too dark with the wood tone.

Have you definitely decided on sage on the walls. Would you consider using on the cabinetry instead to break up the different wood tones and go neutral on walls for a lighter overall feel.
