@bergen, those options are too traditional looking for me. My aesthetic is more contemporary with an eclectic component. I usually decorate with more contemporary furnishings but like ethnic and historical decor items that are meaningful to me. They also soften the contemporary a bit. I really like the Walsh design except for the the very sharp right angle. Everything else is great. @JAN MOYER, I'll probably go for the Walsh.

Any recommendations for a sofa? The sofa will only have light use as I live alone and I picture myself sitting in a Walsh! Looking for a longer sofa (about 100") fabric as I'll get the chairs in leather. I prefer a sofa with a leg. Check these out.

Yes, I like the Bainbridge and the Sumner. I didn't see these at my local Arhaus. I might need another visit. I'm a little concerned about some of the reviews I've been reading about Arhaus most recently.

As to Arhaus?

You'd not in a million years get me to recommend a couch.

No different than I routinely grab a duvet or toss pillows from Pottery Barn, or quilt from RH. Furniture is a no. unless perhaps a cocktail table RH. A cocktail table from Arhaus? Sure!

This thread just inspired me to order two of the Walsh chairs for my den, after room re-measuring, re-configuring, and chair shopping, for WEEKS! Swivel gliders are my favorites, and any piece of furniture with a rave review from Jan is good enough for me :)

I opted for the nomad snow fabric version. Love the camel leather, but not for my room..

Beautiful photo, Jan and what a view! I can see sitting in that chair, reading a book and staring at the water for hours.

Jan, what brands do you recommend for a sofa? This piece will only have light usage. I've purchased higher end in the past (Swaim, Carter Upholstery) working with an interior designer. Not sure if I should go this route. I want fabric upholstery, and a more modern Euro look, hopefully with a leg and bench seat.

It depends your budget! I have never sourced a sofa for a client online. ...click and buy. Not one!

I like Hickory Chair. Taylor King......Occasionally CR lane.

Light usage? You may be fine with click and buy: ) It's just not something I do.....and would NEVER do at RH.....Pottery BARN....ANY.

Truth? I don't favor bench cushion which equals earlier cushion destruction and always wrinkles. It is impossible to have cushion stability in any of them.

Jan, I took a look at the Taylor King website as that's I brand I'm not familiar with. Probably to the trade only. I really like the Boone sofa.

TK Boone........... a better choice btw, just know you are short, and it is 42" depth.

So, since we have no clue your locale? You find a brick and mortar furniture store near you who carries Tk and they abound........

You can then pick from HUNDREDS of fabric options...or you find an interior designer near you, or a to the trade design center.

TK is a wholesale source as are any others designated "trade".

It is a sales tax issue.

A dedicated wholesale source, ANY, does not collect/pay state sales tax and therefore can not ship directly to a homeowner.

The greed factor has made many "trade only" sources available to the consumer directly. Lighting .....fabric......just don't kid yourself on the pricing: )

I've been following your thread since I'm also in the market for two new chairs. Can you tell any difference in the leather quality between the Arhaus and Joss & Maine chairs?

Regarding the quality of leather between both chairs, the Arhaus is softer and slightly lighter. My husband can not tell the difference. The Arhaus chair is 4 times the cost of the Joss and Main chair, not including the delivery free. We are very happy with the less expensive chair.

For now : ) Call me in three or four years. The swivel is more exposed on the Camino,, you had to do a put together out of a box.

At any rate, a super comfy , great looking chair leather chair in the Walsh , even at the Arhaus price is still a value, JMO.

Based upon personal experience, the Joss & Main chairs look very similar to the Arhaus ones (I've seen both in person - I know someone who purchased the ones from J&M) - the hand of the leather is nicer quality on the Arhaus ones (makes sense due to price difference).

I am trying to decide on which to buy for my refinished basement. If they were for my living room or hearth room on the main level, I would purchase the Arhaus ones. However, because they are for the finished basement, I'm thinking about purchasing the J&M ones. We are already spending $$ on a nice custom wall bar - saving some $ on the these chairs makes sense. The J&M ones are around $400 right now vs. $2,100 for the Arhaus ones.
