Sorry if this is a repeat post. I can't find my original, looking for answers!. Most of my house is a light english Walnut with a little red cast going through it because it is Red Oak. The step down living area which is hardly ever used but you can see the floor from the upper level. What color to make it? And Should I stick with the same size slats. I do dislike the skinny ones they are like 2-1/4". Very dated looking. Floors were resanded 3 years ago and I'm not about to do it again. The bleached whitewash has to go.
