It looks like woven wood blinds over the windows, is that right? Regardless, the drapes pair well with the window coverings. Your room is lovely & has a warm feel. Changing drapes to off white would make the room much more formal IMO. You’d also likely have to change out the window blinds as they wouldn’t pair as well with off white drapes. Your rug choice could incorporate all of the colors you have but I would go with a lighter toned ./ colored rug to balance the sofa & chair color.

I would lose the current drapes, or change to white/ivory. Your couch and chairs are white or ivory. The armoire is a HEAVY dark furniture piece. I think the dark drapes and window coverings just make the room look heavy, dark, and foreboding.
