We never get high end fixtures. It isn’t a focal point.

Absolutely noting wrong with going with Kohler. IMO plumbing fixtures need to be dependable and functional, not design elements.

This is a personal value / money issue. I typically value "nice, but not crazy". I drive a newer Honda vs a $100k SUV which I could also afford, for example. I don't recommend spending big money on plumbing fixtures either.

Nothing is going to look like a photo in a brochure six months after you install them. Both the Kohler and the Brizo will fade into the background and you just won't see them anymore. You definitely won't be standing there with perfect makeup, your hair in a towel, gently running your hands with manicured nails over your ridiculously priced faucets.

What they sell you...

They will all get some combination of water spots, tooth paste, shaving cream and soap on them - at least until the next cleaning. After a certain point with faucets you are paying for "style", not quality. But trust me when I say that in 20 years or less people will be rolling their eyes at that style.

And these are in your bathroom, nobody will see them but you.

Spend your money on things that make a difference. Sometimes splurging a little on one larger durable thing in a room can set a tone - such as a nicer entry door, a built-in bookcase, a nice fireplace, real hardwood floors, etc... but not faucets.

That said, you are rebuilding a six bathroom house in an area subject to flooding, so there's that.

I️ just finished a new build lake vacation house and used Delta Nicoli in four bathrooms, one powder room and two kitchen faucets and one laundry room faucet. They are beautiful. This allowed me to spend more on light fixtures.
