These materials do not look good together at all. What is the material made of that will be on your wall behind the vanity? Can it be made into a vanity top?

What finish are you using for your shower wall and shower floor? I ask because these are going to all be in the same room and view, I presume.

I think a wood vanity is the right direction to go in with that stone behind it. And, I do love walunt in general. But in this instance, I think it is too dark and heavy of a wood tone to use behind that stone, which has a light, almost etherial feel.

None of the chosen ones for a vanity top look good at all with the others. What is the floors themselves? So the tile on the floor will be the shower floor tile ONLY? What about the rest of the shower? The shower floor tile sure is rustic compared to the wall tile. What does the vanity look like? Sorry but I would start over with your tile choices.

The tile for the floors and shower (walls and floor) is a light travertine.
The tile standing up will be used behind the vanity.
The vanity is walnut with champagne hardware.
We are trying to pick a countertop material That will look good against the backsplash tile. The 3 small samples were granite/quartz samples that the store offered to match. I wasn’t thrilled with them, so I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas

Those selections together are not in the same "style". I would reselect some things; what is your favorite item so far? Build from there.

I think we need a clearer picture , there are multiple tiles standing up, but based on your last response the largest green one is the backsplash and the one flat on the ground us the floor, is that correct? if so i don't think those go together, too different in tone and feel.

Either way can you post a photo that doesn't have the tiles you've already decided against?

I’ve attached in the first photo, the backsplash and the current floor and shower tile we had chosen.
I appreciate everybody’s advice - so you think I should possibly switch the flooring tile to something a little less “rustic”?

If that’s the case, do you have an idea of what type of countertop I should use?

Go with the large green one with your travertine floor choice.

Although….I would look fir something other than travertine since you want it to go in the shower too.

A coordinating tan/ beige ceramic tile could work with very little movement.

I dont get the connection to your first inspo picture based on the materials you chose, but i see it in the second. however your inspo picture the wall tiles tone matches the floor much better than yours.. your latest photo just doesnt seem to go tone-wise. maybe its the photo but i would guess its off in real life as well.

I like the green with the travertine. However, I think you need to avoid adding another set of veins to the mix -- I'd look for a solid or uniform small-pattern surface. You might like the color "Newport" from Cambria quartz -- up close it's got a speckle and a creamy veining, but from a distance it just reads as near white. I think it would look very nice with your arrangement and let that backsplash shine. (You want something a little warm with that travertine.)

You should be able to get a sample to see in person.

Find a stone you love for the counter top and then look for a coordinating tile for the backsplash wall. This what is done in the green wall tile picture and I think will be your best bet.

The floor and shower tile seems matte and maybe porous looming and doesn’t seem to match at all with the wall til. Sadly the counter options add another pop of something and are also a lot. Individually they are all so pretty but not together

Do those of you who didn’t feel the travertine floor matched with the backsplash feel that the photo below works a bit better?

Yes. The floor one appears matte and dull (not in a bad way) and the wall one looks like it’s glossy and mirror like somehow. .

Yay! I’m on the right track lol. I struggle with colour/matching. This helps tons. Do you have a countertop in mind that might go well with these?

It might be the photo though bc the wall tile is completely matte in the photo above.

I would choose a countertop that is close to your floor tile that you show in the new picture. THAT one looks good. There is a bit of a grain in the floor but it compliments the wall tile. I would even consider a countertop with no grain so it does not compete.

So if i zoom in on your second inspo pic (it appears to be the one you like more ) it seems the counter material is the same as the wall material. is that an option?

It’s not an option to make the counter and backsplash the same material, that would make this much easier.

IMO one tile for bathroom floor and shower walls I like 12 x24 porcealin in a nice neitral that works for you then if you want a nice piece of granite or marble for the vanity counter . If you do this then to change wall color or accessories down the road is simple ans you will never get tired of the mix you are planning I would not do thta tile for the floor and shower walls it will get tired really fast IMO too much movement and too many colors maybbe something like that for the counter ,
