That is so not going to physically work. You'd need 2 faucets to start with. And a prep zone needs to be aminimum of 36" uniterrupted space. When combining zones, you add another 12" for the sink and the range landing.

I have the Kohler Purist semi-pro faucet centered on a 30" sink with a 48" counter opening. The faucet would not work on a 48" sink.

You chose a 48" sink, which isn't a budget choice and that means your faucet will need to be large, with a long reach, and won't be cheap either.

Not going to work. At all.

Yeah, I have to jump on the bandwagon here: A single faucet will not reach. Have you seen pictures of the Kohler Stages sink? It's almost always shown with duplicate faucets.

Having said that, I'm not convinced a 4' sink is a great use of space, nor am I convinced that duplicate faucets are a positive.

Finally, I don't think you want your cooktop and sink next to one another. You want your "major players" -- sink, stovetop, refrigerator -- to be at least 4' apart, but less than 9' apart.

With this size sink and also trying to use it as a pot filler, it sounds like you need a hose reel. ;-)

I have about 60" linear of 3 sinks and 2 faucets. Grohe K7's with the big spring thingie. They reach all three sinks but the spring thing isn't the most flexible and doesn't give you a ton of lateral reach, to be honest. And using it to spray down the sides of the sink works better with a retractable hose.

You DEFINITELY need 2 faucets with the max retractable hoses you can find.
