and a much less dominant light in the living room.

Everything can't be a star.....and the living room space isn't up to that tile /bulky light Serena, sorry. Perhaps it will look better, further back in the space, over the breakfast. Maybe it was a bit of a mistake?

Not all islands need pendants ... you could have them replaced with recessed lights.

I have that large Serena capiz pendant over the bathtub in my master bathroom.

thanks for the input. i moved in a few months ago. And i did not realize the picture i posted until afterwards that my rooms were not tidy. i tried for 30 minutes to try and figure out how to edit to nicer pics and couldn't figure it out 😳. i have to pick and choose what i can change interior wise so thanks for the suggestions. my first change will be the the kitchen pendants.
