I am not loving the Serena in the living room, nor the far too high hang of the breakfast table light,

Move? Take the living room fixture to over the breakfast table, as above for pendants, 16" wide

and a much less dominant light in the living room.

You have too much going on, and no real relationship between all.

Clockwise...living room, pendants, BREAKFAST

Everything can't be a star.....and the living room space isn't up to that tile /bulky light Serena, sorry. Perhaps it will look better, further back in the space, over the breakfast. Maybe it was a bit of a mistake?

With a fandelier below

simple cones No, Serena here below

Seems...... rather a lot? Despite more related

The best answer, and you'll hate me is lesssss

Fandelier in living room, LINEAR over island

and related with lower hang, over breakfast.

Four fixtures in a small space is a lot.

You already have a lot going on in the living room, and a tidy up and clutter out in both rooms, would help everyone visualize.

but for me?

Serena is out, a single over the island, and....relate the breakfast area.

I'm here....So sorry : )

Not all islands need pendants ... you could have them replaced with recessed lights.

I have that large Serena capiz pendant over the bathtub in my master bathroom.

thanks for the input. i moved in a few months ago. And i did not realize the picture i posted until afterwards that my rooms were not tidy. i tried for 30 minutes to try and figure out how to edit to nicer pics and couldn't figure it out 😳. i have to pick and choose what i can change interior wise so thanks for the suggestions. my first change will be the the kitchen pendants.

Since you’re planning to replace the two kitchen pendants, I’d look at several very different styles before choosing. Lighting can change the overall feel of an open-plan space much more than you might expect.

I recently compared 8 very different designer lights in interiors, and it might give you some ideas while you’re choosing the new pendants:
