It would help to see the entire space, left of the glass doors. I would agree the windchime and trash can need to go elsewhere.

How about removing everything & instead, place a nice fairly large live plant ( such as a ”snake plant” Sansevieria ) in that space? They look good in modern spaces, mine is about 4’+ tall. Requires little light or care. West Elm has decent prices for elevated planters , Room & Board has nice ones “Case Study” but are a little pricier. Also, I’ve bought them on Amazon too.

Try one very large and tall plant. That is all the area needs. Note the tall plant used in this recent design of ours:

Mine is 6’ tall with the elevated planter …. So easy …..

I like your current floor vase there. I would remove everything else and put a large picture there. Not necessarily any of this art, but a large piece like these, or 3 stacked.

You have windows ,glass, ! a plant is all thats needed, , nothing else , no vase, no nothing except a beautiful green plant. Done & done.

I have a glass sliding door that leads to the deck and gives access to the backyard on the left side of that space, so it’s a walking zone. I can’t put any tall plants there because it would feel crowded when passing by. I used to have a plant in that corner before placing the floor vase, but it’s too dark for any live plants
