I was thinking about Theresa’s comment regarding whether the blocks are set on point or not. Seems to me that it could be done either way. Setting it on point requires sashing. Setting it straight across requires a lot of planning to get the colors in the correct places. I can’t tell which technique you used. Tell us, please.

Lois, the blocks are squares. There is a large background block in the center. The surrounding strips are color and background sewn in a diagonal. In the picture, the blue in the lower left and turquoise opposite it are one block. They are quick and easy to sew, you just have to make sure the diagonal seams go the right way!

That is a very interesting pattern. I see the blocks now that a looked at picture again. They do appear to be on point...I think I may have to put this pattern on my list!
