I am stuck! A chair and table? A console table? Do not want to change walls or floor. Thank you for advice.

This is your second post on the same dilemma. You had 11 replies. Starting over accomplishes nothing except giving the impression that the thoughtful suggestions from houzzers were of no consequence to you. My suggestion is to delete this post; go back to the original post , and continue the conversation. Solutions just don't happen instantly. It is the give and take that solves the problem.

To new responders, here is the link. Join in and share your ideas.

Are you Houzz security? I did take advice of original replies made first change and now requesting support with a secondary change . I did also reply to original post with this question and new phot and got no replies as it only notices original replies, so starting over. Sorry this frustrates you, suggest maybe just skip over it.

Thank you for additional advice. I am not changing paint or tiles. Just looking for furniture advice on 1- chair and small
Table vs console table (2-wood with ottomans or 3-metallic one in photo) vs a 4-long tufted bench

Still time to delete this post and comment on the old one so people can simply add on.

You already have a lot of visual interest in this area with the floor, wainscoting, and stair railing. I think a chair and table would add too much. I would go with either a very simple upholstered bench or very simple console, very lightly styled. Is this a location you would likely actually sit on a bench?

This is a duplicative post, I remember commenting on it. Was there nothing of value in the other comments for you to try out in this space?

I don't recall seeing any dimensions for this wall but here's my suggestion. The console is shown a bit to the left but should be centered on that wall.

What does my comment have to do with security? We all ask posters to please stick to one post. It keeps the comments flowing and helps both commentators and the OP keep ducks in a row. No need to make a flip comment to me. Others on this post have the same suggestion as I @Christine R

I love the idea of a console table with two poofs underneath. Another idea is a round receiving table, to which you can still add a small poof or stool underneath. By having a table of sorts along with poofs provides more interest and is also functional. Poofs can be used for sitting on when taking on/off shoes. While the table can be used as a place to quick drop items such as keys, packages, mail, ect.

I thought it would be good to pick up the color of the accent tile in your foyer for the seating. I noticed your other rooms are some what traditional in style.

It would be nice if there was space some where in the foyer for a proper console and tall mirror

Have you noticed how lavender your wall paint leans? Have you given any thought to limewashing the walls for a more romantic appearance?

It might be time to consider changing out the chandelier.

I need a bit of an idea of the rest of the house for sure. IMO all the filagree is making my head spin so simple is a must for that spot . A new chandelier IMO also much less curly black metal please .The cabinet shown way to big for the space , tTHe white chair is too white but the scale is good . The console no way in thta space . Sorry but really a nice small round table and vase filled with fresh flowers is it IMO. Please take that tacky wall decor off the walls in the stairwell and leave it simple mabe a different wall color but none of any other filigree curvy stuff anywhere ,

The mirror looks low. What is the measurement from the mirror center to the floor?

Replacing the mirror with art + clearing off all the decor on top of the console may look better.

@Patricia you understand the new pics are the OP saying the job is now complete.
