Wolf. I have the Professional series 30". It's marvelous.

It meets all of your requirements except knobs, but I believe Wolf came out with a model in 2025 that does have knobs. On my model the touchscreen can be locked if needed or wanted, and the oven light setting is it's own touchpoint -- don't have to scroll through settings to get to it.

"Fancy" is subjective. The Wolf is pricey, no doubt, but IMO it's worth it. I've never had an oven as good as this one.

I don't understand the requirement about edge of cooktop. No area of the rangetop gets hot, or even warm, other than the element(s) in use, (and that heat is residual heat generated from the pan).

I have gotten top-notch service from Wolf. There were installation issues which were entirely the local store's fault, but Wolf factory service people took care of everything quickly and expertly, no questions asked.

A 'covered' edge is preferred by me as I have read reports of people cracking their cooktop with an errant touch of a cast-iron pan on the front edge of their induction cooktop. Not a deal-breaker for me, but still preferred to avoid a cracked cooktop needing replacement.

I love my Miele range. Very quiet and intuitive to use - knobs and noise were the

big factors when we were originally shopping. Very consistent temperature for baking. No issues in the six plus years we have had it. We like it so much that we have bought a second one for the guest house of our new home.

Wolf repairs in my area are a challenge, so I have been looking this past week at the Miele induction ranges.

The model I am looking at is the HR 1422-3.

This is not the super-fancy model with the waterline and the M cooking mode.

But I still think it will provide a positive cooking experience.

How fancy are the models you have and do you wish you had selected different models?
