Home Decorating Design Dilemma

Open concept dining room wall

Hello Houzz Community,

I installed this wall clock back in 2014 and have really enjoyed it, but it’s now tired and dated. I’d like to refresh the wall, though I’m feeling somewhat limited by the sloped ceiling and the mini-split placement.

We plan to upgrade to a ceiling-mounted unit in a couple of years, but for now I’m looking for creative, budget-friendly ways to update the space. I’d love to hear your ideas for making this wall feel more current and cohesive in the interim.

Please post a picture of the entire wall. This space should relate to the whole. IMO I would eliminate everything from the wall and buffet top and put 1 large piece of art.

Ditto to what jck910 said. Remove everything, including the shelf, & place a large piece of art there.

Ditto, here, as well. To keep the eye from concentrating on the "bread box", add art above the black sideboard. Keep at eye level.

I agree remove it all and add a great piece of art above the cabinet. That mirror does nothing for the space .
