Appliance Installation Costs

We've bought nine appliances for a new build. The retailer doesn't install, but recommended an independent installer.

All appliances have been delivered and placed next to where they're going. Total installation cost, C$1,300. No gas, only electric. Reasonable price?

I'm thinking I'll handle the washer, dryer, freezer and fridge. And keep in mind that the retailer's prices were way better than competitors. Sensible?

That is a good price for installation of the entire list.

Check your warrantee to make sure it is not void if not installed by a certified installer.

Plus a Sharp Microwave drawer.

Nothing exotic, especially large or panelled.

I checked AJ Madison's installation prices for the oven, microwave, and dishwasher and the total was over US$500 so C$1300 for everything is probably a pretty good price. I'd read the installation manuals for any appliances you're planning to install yourself before "volunteering" to install them. You might also confirm that the electrical and water connections are of the proper types and in the proper locations for the selected appliances (e.g., dishwasher outlet in an adjacent cabinet, oven j-box above the appliance cutout) so that the third-party installer can perform efficient installations.

US$500 today equals C$705.60!

Water and electric lines are installed. So, I'll leave the double oven, cooktop, dishwasher microwave drawer, beverage cooler to an installer. Just not necessarily this particular one.
