Im guessing the picture is from the entry vs of the entry. Sending a few more pics and a floor plan will be great.

HMM interesting I agree you ask about the entry but we do not see it.

I’m guessing the OP’s entry is that door in the far right upper corner of the space. Too bad many will bypass this post because they’re silly and confused. An example of biting the hand that feeds you… if you get my drift.

Yes it would help very much. Per the description her sofa is under the ceiling fan with back to the ”large closet”. Hard to visualize without a close up of entry space that’s next to the large closet.

I see neither an entryway or a loft so tough to offer much. Guess I will also bypass.

A door does not show an entry and not sure about the loft either

We don’t have the full layout, but there are a few reliable ways to define spaces in a loft. The easiest is with area rugs. I’d consider one for the entry and one for the living area. Just make sure they’re sized generously; rugs that are too small tend to look out of place.

It looks like your floors are warm-toned and your walls are a cool gray. If you’re keeping the wall color, you’ll want to balance both warm and cool tones in your decor so neither the floors nor the walls feel like an odd match.

Look for rugs, pillows, art, or textiles that include both tan and gray somewhere in the palette. Not every piece needs to contain both, but spread those colors throughout the space so the whole room feels intentional and cohesive.
