I had the same question while having a bar built in my home. i asked myself what would I use the sink for? I decided not to include one since I wouldnt be washing glassware there & since I use filtered water I wouldn’t be using it for drinking water. Ask yourself what would you use the sink for?

We are in Florida. We updated our kitchen and used old countertop for outside kitchen with sink. We not using sink. We do not need to use it.

We have had a full size single bowl kitchen sink with garbage disposal in two outdoor kitchens (In florida). Sink is used to wash grills and accessories every time we grill. I don’t want them in my kitchen. It is also handy to have to use when I want to clean up my outdoor furniture/wash hands after gardening etc. Since we are in florida it is used year round.

I would think since we cook outside a lot, it would come in handy for hand washing and cleaning up. I’d need to walk through my sunroom and living room to get to the kitchen. A hose isn’t going to cut it for me.

Put in the sink. It will come in handy for the house fire from locating a grill right next to the house. Grills need to be a minimum of 10' away from the home, and if under any roof, need to have an exterior rated vent hood.

FYI, never throw water on a grease fire, which BBQ fires are.

I have the fire blankets. My portable grill has been there forever and have not had an issue. 🙏

any chance you can put a sink in your Sunroom?

For me it depends on the climate, I live in Mid Altlantic, so weather is a factor.

I have a Brew Room just inside my outdoor patio, so it allready has a double bowl stainless sink for cleaning up patio dining and general seasonal cleaning. I don't have to worry about winterizing it, and the immediate clean up an outdoor sink would require.

I live in North Carolina, so climate is favorable. I do not
have room in the sunroom unfortunately.

We have an outside sink and love it. We just drain the lines for winter, same as we do for our camper.

We had a sink in our outdoor kitchen an d it mostly was used to hold ice I am noe designing a new outdoor kitchen and probably will not bother our space is like 5 steps to the new kitchen I do however still love the counter space

We have a sink in our outdoor kitchen. It is a great place to put the ziploc bags with marinade after you pulled the meat out. I also use it to get water to water my orchids in the lanai. Use it to fill the outdoor water bowl for the dogs. Also washing hands.

Totally! I imagine I would use it. I was just questioning because everyone seemed to discourage.
