If it had superior black spot resistance in its resume, I would give it a try, in spite of its name. I would not like to be reminded of chimpanzees every time I would look at a DJG bloom. A bunch of chimps will kidnap a mother chimp's baby, kill it and eat it in front of her. Nasty creatures.

Mine was lovely during the growing season but it didn't survive my winter the first time I tried it (zone 6-ish Nebraska). I"m trying it again this year - I met Dr. Goodall briefly and I would like to have the rose named for her. Not every named rose is worth the garden space though...
