We just have two large drum lights from Home Depot. They work great and are sleek and match the rest of our home style.

@WestCoast Hopeful, does each one have more than one bulb? The drums don’t block too much light for laundry tasks?

We have two of these and they are great. It’s bright and easy to do laundry tasks. It’s also our midtown.

We have a flat LED panel from Home Depot, 24x24. It looks like a skylight in the laundry room and brightened it up tremendously. I'd get something like this white Maxxima 14 in. LED Flush Mount Ceiling Light, 5 CCT 2700K-5000K, 2500 Lumens which can be attached right to your ceiling j-box. Too bright? Pair it with a Lutron dimmer or motion sensor/dimmer.

Or go big.
