I think it was a tan tin ceiling ten feet off the floor and weighed a ton.

Tin ceilings require no specialty knowledge or tools, thus no specialty contractor needed.

Pretty sure when installed originally there were no pros to do it. I see no reason to do it but the disapearing OPS are becoming a PITA
