Microfiber cloths work extremely well. I don't have microfiber on a handle, though.

Swiffer dusters also work extremely well, but they are a dust-and-toss item. If that doesn't bother you, I'd suggest that.

I also have different sizes of lambswool dusters. I use those mostly for baseboards, walls, and ceiling/lights. Those areas don't get particuarly dusty, just cobwebby sometimes.

Dusters on a handle are not great. I only use them for hard to reach areas. Why? Because they don't come into contact with every part of a surface the same way your hand does when using a cloth.

I use unscented swiffer pads, the kind you'd put on a swiffer stick, but I use them for hand dusting instead. It is really wasteful. I know using a microfiber cloth is more eco friendly. But my husband has dust allergies and I have found nothing better than using a swiffer pad with my hand.

I just got one of those swiffer dusters on a stick for my baseboards. My god, it is so much easier on my back.

Thank you both. I have tried to avoid Swiffer because of the waste, but I'll probably try a lambswool. I have a stack of microfibers but haven't used them because the stick dusters are so easy.
