You could easily put in two armchairs with a small table between them. You might have to pick your furniture carefully and not go for the biggest you see, but quite doable.

There's nothing to post, it's just a small mostly square room with 2 doors... There's an old sofa sitting there for now.

What type of chairs? With a rug underneath them?

Depends on your style. I would want something with a footrest or that could recline possibly but is still nice. Yes I would add a rug. I would also have a little table beside them. But I’m a big reader and love to be comfortable in a chair with a drink nearby

Reclining would be nice, but not sure if I have enough room for them.

The sofa is going. (It should have been gone years ago...) The photos are from both sides of the room. (The shorter walls and both of them have doors, one to the hallway and one to the front balcony. )

You absolutely have room. There are some really lovely more low profile arm chairs that recline that could work. This is a really nice space. Google low profile recliner

Where is there space for a coffee table? And what do you mean by saying scaled chairs?

If you want chairs with a footrest these could work since the ottoman can be stored when not in use. That is also a nice room for an office if you ever needed one. A daybed would work if you have an occasional guest.
