Which wall oven(s) should we buy?

We bought a condo and need to replace the wall ovens, as the top one is not working and the bottom one doesn't close well. They're old... Looking to get some high-end stuff. I was trying to educate myself on "speed ovens" and "steam ovens" as possible options for the top one. We will keep the bottom oven as a full-size oven. I like the fact that speed and steam ovens are smaller, since we are empty nesters and rarely cook big quantities of food any more. Also, I am hoping that we can get rid of our counter top toaster oven, as space is of the essence in a condo. And I love that some have the broil option. That's what's important to us in terms of cooking options - broiling, toasting our French baguette, and smaller oven space. Not so important - microwave, steam cooking, convention, etc. Not that this would the the deciding factor, but for what is worth, we are not big on technology. Would like to focus on high-end brands for this purchase. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1. Is this a double oven or are there two, separate appliances?

2. Am I correct that you want to spend more because it's "high end" even if performance is the same? For example, GE Appliances sells appliances under the GE, Profile, and Monogram brands. If the appliances' performance were largely the same, you'd buy the Monogram appliance because it's the "high end" brand?

3. Have you checked the voltage(s) of the circuits that service the appliance(s)?

4. Have you measured the size(s) of the appliance cutout(s) or does that not matter because you'll spend whatever it takes to modify the cabinets?

1. wdccruise there are two different appliances. The top one is a Viking from 2011 - convection, microwave and steam, when it was working, prior to us buying the condo. The bottom one is a Thermador that closes very poorly, has a half-broken handle, and is lacking a lot of basic features, such as a temperature display, etc.

2. The reason I am looking to "spend more" is because where we live these things matter a lot when the time comes time to sell the condo. So I would like to strike a balance between our needs and enhancing the resale value, or at least being competitive with other condos. We just moved here, however, life has taught me that one never knows when a move is unavoidable.

3. I am not sure I understand the reasoning behind the 3rd question. And no, I didn't check the voltage, I didn't think I need it... Happy to be proven wrong though.

4. Yes, I did check the size of both appliances, and would like to be able to replace them without any cabinets modification if it can be helped. Here they are:

Viking - height 22", width 29.5"

Thermador - height 29.5-30", width 29.5"

You'll have to modify the cabinet because built-in microwaves are shorter and new appliances have smaller chassis.
