My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Trying to decide between KraftMaid Vantage and Shiloh. Shiloh is $7,000 more. Is the upgrade worth it in terms of finish quality and durability? Any regrets with either brand?
Have had Shiloh beaded-inset kitchen cabinets for 12 years now. Mine are a painted white finish, which has held up wonderfully as have the cabinets in general. I live in an 1894 pier-and-beam house in Houston, with epic humidity and alternating cycles of flood and drought. Given the climate, the dealer warned me that beaded inset might mean more movement (& issues with corners) but that hasn't been an issue.
I have Eclipse cabinets, which are Shiloh's european frameless line. Admittedly they're only two years old and we have no kids who abuse them, but they look as great now as they did when they were installed.
The kitchen designer for either is more important than the line. The two are equivalent quality, but you will not be getting similar detailing in the design to have that large of a price difference. The actual details will be different.
