What does the back elevation look like? This looks a lot like a back yard.

Overall I find your home very to be very aesthetically pleasing. But I agree with Bev that your landscaping could use some work. To the left of your front steps (between the front door and window) consider a small ornamental tree to add interest and provide height, on the slope adjacent to the foundation I’d look at a mix of low-growing ground overs and shrubs with a trailing habit (ie junipers), and then around the corner at the bottom of the hill I’d plant a larger/ wider shrub next to the side of the house (something that grows to 5’-8’ tall/ wide) to again add some height while continuing the great horizontal lines of the house.

Love the house! I think painting the siding a warmer color or adding darker trim would give it a more modern feel.

You have added lots of warm wood to the exterior. I was thinking that the chimney is very prominent in white. What if you painted everything in a matte finish charcoal, making the wood a stand out (instead of the chimney).

    You could keep windows white.

Your home has great midcentury style! I think the color is fine, and I wouldn't paint it a dark color because that is likely to look outdated in just a few years. But as others have noted, your landscaping needs help. The biggest bang for the buck would be to remove the raised planting bed and to add a tall shrub or small tree to the left corner where the land drops away. BeverlyFLA's design looks good, and if you tell us where you are located and which direction your house faces, we can give specific plant suggestions. It looks like you may be in a rural area, so do you have a paved street and curbing, or just gravel at the lawn's edge? It would be important for curb appeal to have a finished-looking edge at the front of your lawn.

Plants in planters will do wonders! Your home just needs some added life under the windows =)

We agree with Judy, add a dark color for some contrast.
