Agree with Beverly and KW: Pull the darker colors from rug for pillows. The sofa and rug need to be centered better on that long back wall. Move the rug closer to back wall, about 8” from wall, so that more of the sofa is on the rug. Place one chair on either side of sofa, facing each other. Add end tables with lamps and an oval coffee table. The rug (real Persian?) with its center medallion creates a formal look, which lends itself well to symmetry.

IMO maybe a umbar pillow on the sofa but but really will they have to be moved to sit. The room needs so much more than pillows Waht do you use this space for it appears to be very formal so some info please But more than that get some art on the walls and as much as the rug is maybe expensive it is too much all the same tones and the light is useless since it only lights the ceiling you coffee table , some more lighting maybe side tables with lamps maybe floor lamps but this space needs all of that before choosing pillows

What are the style expectations where you live? Do homes commonly have just sofas in them without any other items like lamps and tables? How will you use the space? Are the pillows to go on the furniture or as floor seating?
