I would select a round dining table that expands when you have guests. I would also select a sofa with a matching ottoman that allows me to create a chaise at either end of the sofa when required.

I would, however, redesign the main bathroom.

Not sure what country you are in and how this apartment building is constructed. In multistory apartment buildings in the US it can be very challenging to redesign bathrooms because the layout of the fixtures and location of pipes can impact the apartments above and below.

Before purchasing I would check with the building to see what if anything is allowed to be changes as far as layout. Even if it is allowed, it can be a tremendous expense.

This building has not been constructed yet — construction is planned to start in March, so I still have some flexibility to slightly move or adjust walls.

I was thinking about removing the separate guest WC and using that space to extend the kitchen, making it larger and more comfortable. That would also leave more space for the living room.

I think this might be the best option, but I’d really like to hear your thoughts. What do you think?
