Bandsaw blade keeps coming off

I installed a new 3/8” band saw blade on my Ridgid bandsaw 4 months ago. Worked fine. Now it keeps coming off, can’t figure out why. I barely use it, only use 3-4x/year to cut a small piece of wood here & there. I tried everything; tensioned correctly for 3/8” blade, adjusted upper and lower thrust bearings, & upper and lower guide bearings, blade positioned on middle of wheel. I even tried positioning the teeth in the middle of the wheel to see if that would work, no luck. Help! any ideas?

I’m guessing the rubber “tire” on the drive wheel is hard with age. Generally pretty easy to replace.

Check the tires, try a differnt blade. Does the blade whal off when you rotate it by hand? If another blade also has problems and the tires look OK check that the wheels are still aligned and coplanar using a long straightedge. The guide blocks have nothing to do with keeping the blade running true, just get them out of the way while diagnosing the problem. I'd guess the problem is with the blade, tires, and bearings/adjustment of the tilt and alignment of the wheels in order of likelihood.

Get Duginski's bandsaw book or similar and run through the whole setup/tuning procedure.
