There are soo many new looks for garage doors now, I 'd look at those, and pick paint from there. I like the house. Endless possibilities!

None of the above? I love it just the way it is. If anything, add some flower beds with bright colorful flowers in different heights. You might paint your door a lighter color to make it stand out.

I would beef up the porch posts and take down the scrolly corner pieces.

I agree with the 2 comments above, columns and stairs. I also like the idea of the black shutters and if you go with any stone do the column bases to the height of the handrail. Also larger trim around the garage and get rid of the 1990s angled top corners.

Yes: to larger light fixtures on the side of the garage.

If it were my house, I'd go modern farmhouse in style. My added suggestions-
1. replace the dated railing spindles
2. trim out the garage to hide the corners.
3. add a broad walkway from the sidewalk to the steps.

All perfect suggestions. Nice size columns as opposed to posts, Some nice landscaping, larger fixtures and different color for shutters will really make your house stand out. Good luck and post some after pictures.

Thanks for the great suggestions. The door is actually red, even though you can't tell. I was thinking of painting it black along with the shutters. Thoughts? I do like the idea of beefing up the posts and removing the corner designs. I think stone would be nice on these as well.
