can you stand further back and take another picture showing the entire window wall?

We had ceiling mount curtains in a previous space.

I just added my last photo it is a summer place so that is all i have accessto at the moment but the three photos now show the complete l shape of windows

Is this in Kelowna?

When a space has windows and sliders at different heights from ceiling, typically, you would hang all the rods at the same height and adjust the lenghts of the panels. That install can't happen. So, I suggest you treat the slider only. Hang one ceiling rod over the soffit. Do one wide panel of lined fabric and stack it back to the right, where the light switch is. It will still provide the texture you want. On the wall left of the slider, where the two photos are hung, replace with a sizeable piece of art in the colors of the fabric.

Okay, here is a full drapery, hung from ceiling and stacked back to the right.

What we can't see is how the soffit continues to run past the slider. How about a photo of the entire soffit wall. @lisedv is correct in saying we just don't have enough visuals to advise.

I have found a couple additional pics so hoping these help. The blue sectional is mine. The valance drops down about 6in and sticks out maybe 12”. the first photo is another apartment but same layout

I'm just wondering why you would want curtains with this beautiful view when you already have nice solar shades?

On this window you can do a ceiling rod on the ceiling of the soffit and have the rod exceed on the right side for the curtains to open to the right.

For the other window you can also do a ceiling rod but and do a short return with the fabric to cover the remaining gap and bring the curtain all the way to the wall. For this window, the curtain would now remain over the window when open and hide part of the window on one or both sides which is why I'm questioning why have curtains.

I find the space a little stark so wanted some dimension. the curtains are meant to close and they are a similar colour to the walls. would a ceiling rod pn one side work with a drop down rod on the opposing wall?

Probably but more picture showing all windows together in one picture would definitely help.

They would look nice but I still think curtains for my budget are the best. When I get a better pic showing all windows together I will send. I do have a video but this platform does not support it from my camera roll.
