I said higher too but the guy installing said that it's standard to go lower.

Put the handle bottom about the middle section of the miter cut on the beveled part of the cabinet. Try that....then make a template so that every handle is in the exact location. :)

Lower.

Personally I would align the bottom of the handle with the bottom edge as shown in pic two. To me, If its higher or lower, it looks like its floating with no regard to door design.

Higher. Google search Cabinet handles and images and take a look. Lower makes them look like they are about to fall off. The bottom hole should be or will be about 3" from the bottom edge. So the right photo where the hold aligns with the inside panel edge. (ie higher) will look better. (IMHO). OH yes, by all means USE A JIG to guarantee the exact same placement on each door.

Okay, decided higher. We are having the guy from the custom hardware store where we purchased the pulls from do it so hopefully he knows what to do!
