Help! I want to change the colors of the walls, update hardware in the kitchen. I was thinking of colors like Greek villa by Sherwin Williams

I’m no paint expert, but I googled that color and it seems considerably lighter than your current color. Which is a good thing, IMO.

Your current color looks to have a gray/green tinge. In the kitchen area, it clashes with the cabinetry and the floor.

Have you considered improving your lighting?

I don't think the new color will work with your existing floor, and I'm not sure going lighter is the direction I'd head.

Greek Villa is a soft warm white. I always want to try several whites in a space before deciding on one, but Greek Villa is pretty easy to work with.

Here is a Kylie M video on Greek Villa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IA4rAmNVXQ

She shows several popular whites that are comparable to Greek Villa.

She notes that Greek Villa may pull green, but I have never seen this. I have seen Alabaster pull a weird yellow green, but that is a rare occurrence, most people are very happy with Alabaster.

You want to look at your whites next to your flooring, cabinets, and trim, countertops, backsplash, furniture. . . Usually if I am painting walls white I use the same color and paint all the doors and trim.

If you have 2 whites that are not the same one can make the other look dingy or pull undesirable undertones to the forefront. We just see the differences more when you put two whites together and you have to be really careful and really understand the whites to get things to work.

I would start with these 10 color samples

BM: Muslin, Swiss Coffee, White Dove, Cloud White, Simply White

SW: Navajo White, Creamy, Alabaster, Pure White, Greek Villa

Navajo White and Muslin have a bit more color - lighter than your walls but not as white as the others.

    Any suggestions?

Should I invest and change the counter tops and have the cupboards painted or can I just paint the walls and doors?

If this were my home I would keep the wood cabinets and change the countertop. The cabinets look like they are in good shape and they are attractive. Wood adds some needed warmth and won't get dinged and nicked as easily as a painted cabinet.

The countertops seem to have a bit of a pinky, fleshy tone to them that doesn't work well with the floor. I would look at Corian, Quartz and Granite and see what best fits with your budget and personal aesthetics.

The countertops look to be a peachy beige in color. That's an issue.

Here is greige on the walls.

If I do keep the cupboards, what color would you change the counter tops and what color would you put on the walls?

    Would you consider Corian instead?

I have Corian right now and I love it,
