Facade design simple Cube House - looking for advice

last month
last modified: last month

I’m looking for advice on how to improve the appearance of a very simple residential building and make it look more interesting and well-designed, while keeping a calm, modern style.

The house is currently under construction and does not have a finished facade yet. The attached image is only a visualization showing the proportions and overall massing, not the final design. The layout, window positions, and entrances cannot be changed.

Current assumptions:

  • Facade color: warm grey (HEX #94928A)
  • Window frames: RAL 7012 (basalt grey)

I am working with a very limited budget, so I’m mainly looking for cost-effective solutions — ideas that rely more on color, proportions, simple material changes, or detailing rather than expensive systems or complex construction.

My goal is to give this simple volume more character and architectural quality in a subtle, timeless way, without significantly increasing construction costs.

Any suggestions or references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
