I would appreciate thoughts on these sconces and the mantle.

The sconces feel too wide, too high, and I think the size and style just don’t work. Also, I think the light would work better purely as indirect light, but not sure if uplight, downlighting or both is the right choice. The wall is about 17 feet tall for reference. I’m also ok with getting rid of them entirely.

I think the mantle is too thin and shallow for the size of the fireplace, and the wood needs a warmer color stain.

Any other thoughts are welcome. We are remodeling and painting, so most of the rest is in flux. Thats a sheet on the window, long curtains will be hung. The rug on top of the carpet will go. Thank you!
