Linen drapes would be a great addition to the room. They can be controlled by a baton.

I would look at a plain ivory curtain that complements the chairs and sofa. JC Penny has great prices on simple curtains and rods. Make sure to install the rod high up - close to the ceiling - to get a dramatic look on that wall.

What reason for window covering there at all? It does not appear you need privacy or heat and UV control .

Well then just drapes like shown but IMO a waste of money if selling , most people like light and views .

No way would I spend money on drapes if I were considering moving. Most people will appreciate the open windows and glass. (I'm wouldn't but I doubt you and I are most people. :))

Also would not add anything if selling. Where I live window coverings stay with the home. In this case they don’t add value, beyond your personal preferences. so not worth it, if selling.

I agree with the majority. Do not waste your money on window treatments if you plan to sell soon. You're going to want to pare down the contents of that room for listing photos, assuming you don't empty the room altogether and then rent a few staging items. Under the circs, I also wouldn't bother about re-orienting the mirror.

You can go with 2 wide or 3 less wide panels.

Not 100% on moving but looking at options. Husband passed unexpectedly in October.

Sorry to hear about your hubby mine also passed away in October but I have no intention of moving . Maybe just take your time thinking before doing something rash early days in the process of mourning for major choices I think.

I’m so sorry for your loss and appreciate the advice. There is nothing tying me here to California other than the weather. All my family is back east. The only reason I’ve stayed this long is because of him. It’s always been implied that if I outlived him I’d be heading back.

If your family is back east, then make plans to go there. Having your support system at this time outranks everything else.
