Do I leave the sink where I want it or centered?

I have designed the sink wall where the sink is not centered. There is no window on this wall, which I’m ok with. There will be a skylight in the angled ceiling in above the sink.

My current kitchen has my glassware cabinet directly above the dishwaher(it is really the only cabinet on that wall). I absolutely hate it, the contortions I go through to reach over the open dishwasher to unload clean glasses and mugs is beyond annoying. So in this new kitchen I have purposely off centered the sink in order to have a way to stand next to the dishwasher and reach down to my left and place dishes to my right. I drew my layout for the cabinet guy like this and I just got back my preliminary cabinet plan and he has centered the sink, which is probably what most people would do. But this gives me just a 12 inch space to stand to unload to the right.

Image 1 is my layout, showing a dotted line circle in the corner where I would stand to unload. Image 2 is my rendering.

Image 3 is my cabinet layout, image 4 is his layout moving the sink to center.

I would leave it where it works best for you. Centering is not necessary, particularly because this is not a focal point from a doorway to another room, and there is no window to center on.

I am renovating an existing kitchen. The gas line and plumbing are where they are and being a log cabin, moving stuff like that is a nightmare. I spent much time standing in the spots pretending to cook or wash dishes lol. There is more breathing room, for lack of a better term, over on that back wall. I personally spend more time at the sink so was fine with not spending the money to move plumbing/gas. Plus I have this thing about the sink not being your main view. I am good about tidying up the range area and ditching stuff in the sink when I do cook. Plus I did kind of try to follow the old garden web adage of Ice,Water,Stone,Fire, so leaving the sink there worked

Your kitchen is tiny, I’m impressed you could apply ice/water/etc. Leave the sink wherever you want it. No matter where you put it it’s only two steps from everything else, and centering everything is overrated.

Then something to consider is the room around the dishwasher, assuming you will have one, and where your dish storage is for ease of unloading and putting up.

Dishes will be in the space above the microwave. As well as regular drinking glasses. Coffee mugs and wine glasses will go in the beverage center on the other wall, so those will be carried regardless. The cabinet above the microwave where I’m planning on putting dishes will be pulled forward off the wall so it will be more easily accessed. Dishwasher is to the right of the sink, trash pullout to the left of the sink.

Keeping the sink in the original position, not centered, would give you more room to the right of the dishwasher so would likely be a better choice.
