The best under the counter Sharp has a tip up hidden control panel. It isn't the countertop that makes the control hard to read it is that they are facing out not up.

If you get a MW drawer, the Sharp model with the tilt out control panel is the only way to go.

In my previous kitchen I put in the Wolf branded version that did not have the tilt out panel and it was a pain to use. I had the vertical fixed control panel and I had to bend/kneel down, and even then it was hard to see the panel.

No issues seeing the Sharp tilting control panel with a standard overhang on my counters.

Agreed - I have the Sharp with the tilt out control and we love it.
