Need more photos please. For now, it is unfortunate Ikea does not make larger/wider Hemnes nightstands. The other Hemnes are good basic pieces.

SimilarIkea nightstands are available with drawers. Nice thing about Ikea is the lines and styles are easy to mix. Larger lamps on nightstands. No rug over carpet. Why is TV on the side wall to the bed? There is no seating - that can be seen to indicate how you watch in the room. Is there another location for the TV? Art instead of the mirror (which is beautiful) over bed. Place mirror where it can be used and reflect something that is nice to look at.

Here are some photos during the day with better lighting. The wall across from the bed is plain, there isn’t an outlet so we can’t move the tv. What options do we have? Suggestions on bedding, nightstands, artwork? Thank you so much!!!

Move the mirror. It servs no purpose. Replace with art. Also is there some seating facing the TV? Otherwise it's in an awkward loction

There is no seating, that is the only outlet other than on the other side of the bed.

There are many people who have "hacked" other IKEA nightstands - they don't look anything like they did prior to painting/adding a few other things.

Etsy has quite a few sellers that offer overlays for different IKEA pieces - including the Malm line (dresser below - but offered in nightstand size also):

There are MANY different overlays offered - and it would be easy to just lay them on the drawer fronts + add new hardware.

IKEA Rast is a popular nightstand to use because it's made out of solid wood:

These Rast nightstands were painted with a technique that makes them look like white oak. Black Sheep House has several tutorials on how to achieve this look on YouTube (including the one for the two Rast nightstands shown below):

Many people use rattan or peel and stick wallpaper for an easy transformation. The person below used basket reeding to create the unique looking drawer fronts shown below:

The person below simply added some stain to her Rast. You could use an easy gel stain or chalk paint + add some new pulls/knobs on the front. It doesn't have to be a hack that takes much time:

Are you keeping the current draperies? They look a bit short?. Should be 1/4” from floor. Not sure from photos if they could be lowered….

I think bedding and rug change to lighten things up would make a big difference. Not crazy about the current very dark browns on the bed. Also - need some way to hide the TV cord/wires!

I am open to changing everything except the bed frame (unless headboard covers) and carpet. Everything else can go! What suggestions do you have color wise for the bedding? I need all the help i can get!

Didn’t mean the bed frame, meant the dark brown sheets, pillows and blanket. I would keep the bed mostly beiges, with blues in accents - accent pillows. I would go with a throw rug that also has the blues and beiges.

You might want to see if you can get an outlet put in the other wall. I rarely pay for any renovations, but I did pay for an electrician come in and put a plug in on one wall. It cost me around $150 and was well worth it.

I would bring in some softer blues and beiges in the throw rug.
