Need new faucets?

I visited an estate sale today. I hope there is a demolition sale so someone can salvage these:

It would be criminal for those to end up in a landfill.

Those are so charming. I can think of quite a few British designers that could build a beautiful bathroom around them.

Did you bring anything home from the sale?

I so hope someone does a fabulous powder room with those!

Jilly, just a couple of items for my Christmas village. I don’t do a whole village, just a half dozen buildings, but two new little gates will look cute.

The house is a standard developer 1960s two-story. It’s a nice layout and well-built. I think the owners traveled, and must have gotten these to enhance their decorating. Aren’t they awesome? I don’t think the house will be demolished, but the baths and kitchen will be completely replaced (and should be, trust me).

One thing I really liked is that this vanity was in a dressing room which led to the bathroom. Not a walk-in closet, but a dressing room with bypass door closets on two walls and this vanity. New owners will probably make the whole thing a walk-in closet leading to bathroom. The bathroom was closed off, I’d love to have seen it. Or maybe not.

I would love a dressing room like this. Although, I’m not sure how to clean those cherubs. Baby wipes?

Here is a listing photo, and I think that the bathroom beyond is just a toilet and shower, so this is the only vanity for the master suite.

Here is another bathroom in the house:

Those listing photos are considerably brightened from reality.

Thanks for sharing those pictures! I’ll bet these rooms (and house) were much loved. :)

The owners were certainly multi-interested! I’m sure they were interesting to know.

    I did a quick search
