Sherry - You have so many pretty M's! My favorites are Mary's Baby, Magnificent Rainbow, and Minnesota Morning.

Brad - Mediterranean Sail and "Merlot" stand out to me.

Make It Snappy was short last year. I hope it will be taller this season.

Maui Sunrise was also very short.

Memphis did well last season, but it didn't rebloom here.

Michael Davisson was another short one. It only scaped on one of its four fans.

Midnight Castle lost a fan here in its first winter.

Sherry: The two Mary's win the prize. I've grown and liked both of them. I've always thought that Mary's Baby should have been up for the Stout award years ago. Not possible now I don't think......Brad: Malaysian Monarch always gets my attention and also your mauve/lavender NOID is a pretty color............Debra: You've had Midnight Castle a long time and I always enjoy seeing it. I hope it doesn't prove too tender in Indiana. Can you pot/garage it like I do if need be? Memphis always has the prettiest form.......Nan: Mayor of Munchkin Land is so popular for a small flowered one. Will be interesting to see how it does given a better position..................

My "M" is a Pierce dormant. It seems to be a slow grower but we will see if it takes off this year. It's supposed to be "purple" but in my climate purple almost always translates into some shade of maroon. Not enough blooms yet to determine what the usual color will be here.

Maui Sunrise - short last season, not many buds as in previous years and more orangy tones than the deeper red I got in NYS garden. Different climate most likely the reason. I moved it last fall so we shall see what shows up this season.

Julia, I always enjoy seeing Maui Sunrise. It is still a great color but I do hope the reddish tone comes back.

I suspect that the harsh winter last year may have affected Maui Sunrise. It can be difficult to know why in a particular year a cultivar is off.

Minnesota Morning is out of Something Wonderful, a great Salter here. I'll be interested in seeing what Kate thinks of Mr. and Mrs. Bubbs. Good to see Memphis blooming in Indiana; it was too hot to enjoy here (midseason suffered the most). Milano Crimson Tide is a nice color.

Mrs. Peepers is a Davisson out of Regina Sitko; not tall like many of hers, but a decent height.

Mexican Magic is probably the only Maryott I have.

Mal is a very reliable near white here.

Mitch Lynd was divided this past fall.

Megatron is a Gossard red; very fine.

Miss Marie is a border plant.

Make It Snappy hit its stride last summer.

Money Maker --I expected faster growth.

Korth's Missing Waldo is a striking color, but performance remains unclear.

Stamile's Mahogany Magic hovers around 5 inches. I quite like the different color, which stands out in the garden.

Gossard's Man Eater grows well.

Norris's Mary Lightfine. An evergreen that does fine. Mary's Baby was progeny of ML.

Mountain Orchid is attractive. Not the most vigorous, but more so than Linda G.

Emmerich's Minnesota Nice did not take the best picture this year, but is recovering from division. Not a nice year for Minnesota.

Mister Butters is an early-blooming Davisson.

Norris's Memorial to Steve is well budded, but has a lot of competition in the pink color range.

Mystery of the Ages is a rather short Emmerich here.

Mary Frances Ragain was used by Norris to produce Martha Edson Norris (which was one of the parents of Joe Burrow). Joe and Martha are the opposite in heights.

Meme's Merlot is looking very promising (Quinn). Out of Still the One (which is why I got it).

Mardi Gras Indian is intense. I don't have that many Sselmans, but certainly like this one.

Morning Mood has such an attractive throat.

Debra, Great flowers! My favorites include Mister Mayor [am I the only one who doesn't have it?], Maui Sunrise, and Make it Snappy.

Nancy, Mayan Warrior and Mitch Lynd are both very pretty.

Maryl, McJagger is very pretty and very interesting.

Mantis, you have a lot of goodies. I will narrow it down. I really like Mrs. Peepers, Mister Mayor [again!], Mighty in Battle is amazing! [great height and color], Marian Cavanaugh is indeed a great color. Magnetic Springs & Mary Frances Ragain are in my favorite color scheme and quite attractive. Man of Sorrows looks like a very attractive red.

Mantis - Wonderful clump shot of Make It Snappy! Mary Lightfine looks good. I miss that one. I grew it successfully for many years, then moved it in a drought, and it died.

mantis: does MAL look more whitish or have yellow toned in your garden? I've seen some posted photos where it appeared yellowish. I thought it might be a good near white to add here. Thanks

Mal definitely looks near white here. Not as white as Salter's Winter Treasure, but a more reliable performance. There is a yellowish edge, but most of the yellow pictures are sun pics. (My pic was also in full sun.) Early Snow is taller. White Icon the whitest, but less vigorous. White Masterpiece was a parent of White Icon.

Interesting to see Mount Carmel.

David, I like a bunch, but my favorite is probably Malaysian Marketplace.
