Do you have to locate your tv over the FP? That is actually not a great height for viewing a TV.

It's difficult to tell how long the FP wall is with the wide angled cameras that are used for taking photos. Also, will the wall to the right be like the first photo - or will it be like the other two photos?

If you provide a scaled drawing of the room (including all dimensions for walls/FP/windows/doors/doorways/etc.), you will receive much more useful advice.

Also, what furniture will be in the room? People will be able to help with furniture layout if you provide the drawing + any existing furniture that will be used in the room. I

We don't have to locate the TV over the fireplace but not sure where else to put it. We also have an off-white sectional sofa, a nice large off white area rug, and a rectangular wood coffee table. The furniture in the first image is the staged furniture.

Seems you'll need to determine where the TV will be placed. That will have an affect on all the other decisions.

The floor lamp is in the wrong location. Perhaps something smaller than an arc lamp would be appropirate if you need light at that location

I like the idea of painting it a dark color! That would blend the fireplace with the wall and hide the back of the TV if I end up hanging it there. I could also see us putting it in the corner, might just have to move a tree everytime we want to watch it.

I also trying out limestone veneer looks.

TV's are so inexpensive now, can you consider a smaller one if you decide to mount it over the fireplace? A 65" would not be that much smaller and work better in the space.

Boost the tree up with a taller planter

You can mount the TV on an adjustable bracket and angle the TV when viewing.

Or I did find one company that makes an angled cabinet for beneath the TV
