I feel your pain, Theresa. I was having trouble also, and wondered about that, too. Olfa blades are SOOOO expensive! I also think I need to replace my cutting mat. The little nicks seem to cause problems.

Yes, I wondered about my mats,(I have three different sizes). And I wondered if my rulers might be at fault. Do they have nicks that affect the blade?

In the meantime, Amazon had some titanium coated blades, reasonably priced. I ordered and today have been using one with much better results. Let’s see how long it lasts!

I have been having the same problem, but I am sure it is my mats. I need to replace the smaller ones that I use the most. Maybe my next trip home because I am sure I won't find any here in Grenada. Let us all know how you like the titanium blades. I have not tried them yet.

It hasn’t been a very long testing time but I think I am going to like these blades.
