Depending on how the whole front of the house looks I would remove all of the overhang back to the walls and put in a peaked roof over the new foyer HOWEVER since you did not post a full picture of the front of the house I am unsure how that would look on your facade.

There is no such thing as basic input . We would need a lot more input from you andpics of the house but IMO what you are asking is not possible to do as it sits now. We have no idea what the house looks like biut from this small glance I agree that roof would need some major work to do what you want , so get a pro to give you a quote

It looks like the two roofs on either side of the proposed foyer will be draining onton the foyer roof. So, I will suggest that you make your new foyer taller that the adjacent rooflines. You can then install new crickets to shed the water toward the front. Not sure how that would look with the limited information but it should be doable at least.
