Choose cast iron, just like great gramma had. Only Kohler. No fireclay. They have issues. Quartz composie sinks in white tend to go dingy over time. It is less of an issue with it showing in the darker colors. It shows on the white.

I have a Whitehaus fireclay sink. Love it! No issues. I have the stainless grid on the bottom.

Is there any other brand that is dependable but not so expensive?

I am need a prep sink for kitchen- Should this sink match the kitchen sink even though they are across the room from each other? Any experienced prep sink advice?

Concerns are heat and staining and I need to mention that I use grates with my current SS sink and I am the crazy person that wipes down their sink every single day. It's to the point now that cleaning the sink is like brushing my teeth...it must be donw. :) thank you
