there is no suggestion that works for everyone. Do you have a vision board of what you hope your home looks and feels like when complete?

My suggestion is to choose colors much lighter than the samples you are drawn to.

colors often end up being darker than you think, once painted on the interior walls of your home. You need to take into consideration the natural light, artificial lighting in the space and the flooring you will be using, they all play a role in choosing colors, not to mention the furniture and decor.

For me, a main paint color for the whole house and then variations on that color depending on areas I hope to enhance or highlight in the home.

"Renovations to the interior" what does that mean exactly?

Will you be repainting the entire home? or just the renovations?

Renovations: part of the house is a new build. Then, blending it with the old original sections. Walls are coming down to open up areas, etc., and a totally new floor plan for the kitchen-living room area.

The feel I'm thinking is more of a farmhouse vibe, black hardware, in the kitchen, with a large wood beam add to ceil etc.

So done with the pristine white kitchen and floors from living in a city townhouse etc. Now we're in the country, I want warm and cosy.

You'll want to consider what is already used in the open areas for ceilings and trim, or if changing then what shade of white you'll use. I suggest you visit your local Benjamin Moore and/or Sherwin Williams to browse their themed brochures for farmhouse neutral shades, as you'll want to consider for your rooms and what natural light, if any, will aid your color selections. Lots of ideas on Pinterest too to get ideas for farmhouse paint colors.

The Rookwood Jade would be beautiful for painted kitchen cabinets in the type of style you're describing, especially with soapstone or butcher block counters!
