Perla Venata Edging styles?

We selected Perla Venata for our island with an Ogee edge, but my research suggests Ogee may not be ideal for quartzite due to its hardness and potential for chipping. While it can be used on quartzite, it’s often recommended for lower-traffic areas like a master bath. Since this is a kitchen island in a high-traffic, open-concept space with kids, dogs, and an active lifestyle, would a simpler edge like a pencil edge be more practical? I’m also concerned the ornate Ogee profile may feel dated and not align with our organic, modern, coastal farmhouse style. If you have Ogee edging on a quartzite kitchen island, can you share your experiences with cleaning, chipping, etc?
