W daylilies 2026
Show us your W daylilies today.
When the alphabet is done there will be a few posts for seedlings, so, dont leave til we are done…..our seedling creators need to show off a bit😉
Winifred Esther did not show much lavender on the petals last season.
Witch King of Angmar is always flawless.
When My Sweetheart Returns needs late day shade.
Witch’s Stick is a late bloomer.
Upgrade did not display the spotting last season. Had fewer blooms, is usually a great performer.
Woman at the Well had flawless blooms but not as many as usual.
Wanda Lou Lovely got moved in the fall. I didnt recognize it at first….I guess the move interfered. The photo below shows what I saw till the move.

5 months agolast modified: 5 months agoIsn't that interesting how moving a plant can change it. Was it new soil or new exposure?........When My Sweetheart Returns is just that - a sweetheart. Lovely.......Didn't get many pictures of this last year. Still my favorite red I think because of the bright color and heat hardiness.

Maryl, Wayah Valley is impressive in its bright color.

Warm in Winter has not been well budded in its space and has not multiplied
Who Would Be Queen is lovely-usually not this dark. I think this was early morning and cloudy
Wrenetta Powell is a plant that gives few buds but beautiful flowers
Willow Dean Smith is a subtle beauty
Winged Migration is one of the first to bloom

5 months agolast modified: 5 months agoWhite Ambrosia had a good season with plenty of buds and a bit of rebloom.
Wigglesworth - I replaced this one, so it was growing in a pot.
White Tooth was short last season, but it had nice rebloom.
White Tooth X Skater 3 is multiplying better here than in Nashville, where it kept going between 2 and 3 fans. Height was good on this one, and it had 16 buds and rebloomed. The previous two years in Nashville, it had gotten 18 buds.
White Tooth X Skater #4 - I have two clumps of this. One clump had very short scapes and the other had taller scapes, but not as tall as in Nashville. Both are planted where it's hard to get good pictures. The teeth on this seedling are heat dependent and did not show up until late in the blooming. It's multiplying like crazy here. Bud count was much lower here than in Nashville.
White Tooth X Skater #5 bloomed on very short scapes. I only brought three fans since it's an evergreen. So far it has not multiplied or rebloomed here. Bud count was low the first year after the move.

Kate, you have so many pretty ones. I've narrowed down my favorites to WEPD, Windy Hill Designer Red--wow what a bright red!, Windy Hill Dark Secret, and Wild Cherry Wine-what a great pink!
Debra, White Tooth is my favorite and it makes nice kids!
Waiting in the Wings. 3 years and still way shorter than it should be.
Webster's Pink Wonder. I moved at the end of the previous year and wow did that make a good difference.

I also like Upgrde, Wayah Valley, and the White Tooth seedlings. That's a beautiful clump shot of White Eyes Pink Dragon.
My only W to post is Whiskered Tree Swift, one of the few from Lambertson we have left. I will sometimes have some pink teeth.
