what else will be in this space? dining room? is that pony-wall cabinets on the left at a stairway? or is that a breakfast bar connected to the kitchen? just trying to get an idea of space. a rough diagram would help. But I agree that you wouldn't want to put large deep cupboards lining all the walls. Is your kitchen storage teeny tiny so you'll need lots of storage in this room? Or are you just looking to store a few seldom-used or seasonal items? Could those items fit in a low buffet (under the window)?

In my case, I have one 'pantry cabinet' in my dining room to house things like cases of water, pitchers, mixing bowls, etc. And then in my basement is another cabinet with things I only use once or twice a year such as holiday trays, turkey roastong pan, the vita-mix blender, and such.

You need to show dimensions of the space and the related kitchen

Do a drawing with every dimension noted for solid wall, each window, any opening. Each one has a dimension in inches.

For clarification, the room is 14x17 and I’ve included a photo of the room.

The kitchen in this home has minimal storage so the storage I’m looking to have will store traditional things kept in a kitchen: baking pans, casserole dishes, mixing bowls. I don’t think one sideboard/buffet would store everything I have ( and I’m not getting rid of my vintage Pyrex)

What kind of dining table will you use? any other dining room furniture?

Do you already have pieces? a hutch, buffet? not enough info, how do you access this room?

It already looks like you have long, low cabinetry- is that on an island?

Why don’t you just get one tall piece for the wall? A China cabinet / hutch.

How high is the window off the floor. I do not understand why your could not do a long set of cabinets on thta wall maybe even a glass door cabinet sitting on top to the left of that window on the 14' wall. Ikea has tons of cabinets from different lines, I like besta for this type just becuase it does not look like kichen cabinets and can be totally designed by you for exactly what you need
