Help - Dining Table choices - RH Marble top

last month

Hi - I am trying to decide between the RH Ligné Emperador vs RH romeo rectangle rh dining tables and was wondering if folks have any recommendations or suggestions on which one might work better. Below are links to the two pieces:

vs

Marble in both will be of the same color. Brown Emperador Marble

the price difference is not much, so wanted to get expert advise on which one might be better.

thanks in advance

We have no context so how can we help. @ very different styles of table . I do not like that marble but that is me . We need to know a lot more about you and your style. If I have to choose with no info the senond one looks just like a finer design . That marble would be my last choice out of the choices so for me I need context please .I checked out your idea book and now for sure the 2nd choice a much more elegant look

Can you post photos of your dining room. That would be helpful in helping you out.

It really depends on the space. A table isn't chosen in isolation: what is the flooring, what are chairs, how big is the room? The Romeo table (all stone) is too much stone for me-looks like a crypt. You're aware of the potential etching and cleaning issues with marble?

Are your floor supports up to the weight? The stone top tables are very heavy. Plus you have the added weight of seated people around the table. Be very sure the delivery team places it exactly where you want it.

Agree that it depends on the roon - what chairs are you choosing?

Agree with Romeo opinion, seems overwrought - the other one feels lighter which is nice but I don’t like the slab of wood across the bottom, in my house that would collect dust and dog hair but YMMV

Given you are opting for the same color for either, I think both tables will have a very similar effect in the room, given paint color, accessories and most likely chairs will be the same. The heavier table visually might need a more spacious room.

If there are both tables displayed at RH, suggest adding chair or two to get a better sense.

Hi! While we specialize in lighting rather than furniture, we work closely with dining spaces every day — so I can offer a perspective that might actually help you decide.

Both tables feature Brown Emperador Marble, which has those rich, warm veining tones. The key difference from a lighting standpoint is the silhouette:

The Ligné Emperador has a more architectural, linear frame. It pairs beautifully with a linear chandelier or a row of pendant lights that echo its structured geometry. Think brass or bronze finishes to complement the warm marble tones.

The Romeo Rectangle tends to have softer, more organic proportions. It works wonderfully under a round or sculptural chandelier — something with an artistic, flowing form that contrasts the rectangular table shape in an elegant way.

One practical tip: whichever table you choose, make sure your chandelier hangs 30–34 inches above the tabletop, and that the fixture's length is roughly one-half to two-thirds the table's length for balanced proportions.

If you share the room dimensions and ceiling height, happy to suggest some specific lighting directions that would complement either piece beautifully!

FYI, Trust Pilot gives Vakkerlight a POOR rating @2.1.

I wouldn't want a table that needs a moving crew to be able to move it, specially if there is a rug under it.

    Dear Oncape,

Thank you for sharing your concern.

We completely understand why you would pay attention to third-party review platforms. However, that rating does not fully reflect our overall customer experience or the actual quality of our service. Like many online businesses, we have encountered unfair and misleading reviews, including some that we believe were posted maliciously by competitors or by individuals who did not make a verified purchase from us.

We do not sell or promote products through Trustpilot. It is simply a public review platform, and not every review there can be independently verified as a genuine customer experience.

If you have any specific concerns about our products, shipping, or service, we would be very happy to answer them directly and provide you with clear and honest information.

    Best regards,

    Mia
