Obviously, I have no seedlings either but I do have a similar clematis blooming. Mine is Crystal Fountain

I love the clematis--so pretty!

These seedlings are all still in the original seedling beds. Many of them are first year blooms.

We started working on dark scapes in the diploids, hoping for colors other than yellow.

We got yellow on this one, but the scapes are nice and dark. This is Darkness Rising X (Itsy Bitsy Spider X O Positive).

These two are Vader's Choice X (Itsy Bitsy Spider X O Positive). O Positive has a red flower, so we got a maroon flower.

We are also working on reverse bicolors. This one is Whoa Mule X O'Bannon Orchid.

This seedling belongs to our daughter. It is a cross of a seedling with a beautiful flower, but not vigorous with a very vigorous seedling which we hope to be a future intro. It is (Gus Townsend X Desire of Nations) X (Purple Goliath X Painted on Jeans).

We hope this grows out of its splotchiness. It is Deadliest Catch X (Sonoran Desert Rose X Wandering Werribee).

These next two are out of our purple with dark eye breeding. This one, Ebony Pools X Eggplant Luminosity, has some 'ghostly' white marking around the eye.

We like how dark this seedling is. It is Mayan Dark Eyes X Heavenly Blackbird.

This is The Mouse That Roared X Mayor of Munchkinland. I think it might be hard to come up with a registration worthy one out of the Mayor in yellow since they all tend to resemble the Mayor.

One of our goals is a red daylily with a near black eye. The daylily Velvet Eyes would be an example of what we are working for. So far, it has been very difficult to achieve this coloration. We get many like the following seedling. This is Fiesta Latina X Samsational.

Here is another attempt. This is Spacecoast Nails and Lipstick X Kennesaw Crossfire. The color is more magenta.

We like the bright color on Pineapple Bites X Ashwood Inferno.

We like the big eye on Shipwreck Cove X Empire of Dawn and Dusk.

We are playing around with striped daylilies. This is Toothy Perfection X Panning for Gold. this is from purchased seed. Many of the registered striped ones are too expensive for us.

I am not sure of the parentage of this one. It may be out of Geometric Wizard. We like the triangular eye.

This is one of our diploid seedlings. It is Out of Balance x Odell.

Wow, Nancy!! lots of nice ones here. I am so in like with your daughter’s seedling, both the purple dark eye seedlings, the Pineapple Bites red seedling, and love the Shipwreck Cove seedling. However, all have a good look.

Brad, I like the first Carmen Renee seedling. I think the icy lavender color is very appealing. I also like the coral So Lovely X VT Rosy Red. The Sugar Magnolia X Chance Encounter 2 is really nice with the subtle eye. Good job!
